Police officer in North Texas area arrested for drunk driving

A Fort Worth police officer was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Haltom City police.

The 29-year-old man was arrested when he was spotted by police for driving recklessly down the roadway. The man was pulled over at 2:15 a.m. on Northeast Loop 820.

The officer has been placed on restricted duty and can not carry a gun or his badge. The officer consented to a blood draw and a field sobriety test. He will remain in restricted duty until the investigation is over.
