Dating site will now screen for sex offenders

Match.com has announced that they will be screening their dating site by comparing names with the national sex offender registry after a woman was allegedly assaulted by a man that she met on the dating site.

This new move came about after a female Hollywood executive claimed that she was sexually assaulted by a man that she met on the site and later found out that he had been convicted of sexual battery six times before.

Match.com then came out and said that they need to take further steps to protect their subscribers.The Dallas-based company already has a page dedicated to online dating safety when a person signs up.
