Man convicted of 7th DWI, sentenced to 99 years in prison

A man has now been convicted of his 7th DWI and, after a two-day hearing, he was sentenced to 99 years in prison.

The arrest occurred on October 2010 when a Williamson County deputy saw the man driving in circles and pulled him over once he almost collided with the deputy’s vehicle.

The man then underwent a field sobriety test and was arrested for drunk driving. The officer then saw that he had six previous DWI convictions and he was charged with a felony DWI. The man was also on probation for a 30-year jail sentence from a burglary charge. A blood sample later showed that the man had a .25 blood alcohol concentration when arrested.
