A man was arrested as a suspect in an assault case after a bus driver on a Capital Metro bus was beaten and robbed.

The 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery by assault, which is a first-degree felony. According to the court documents, the incident occurred on June 10 when the bus driver picked up the man on Techni Center Drive in East Austin.

There was no one else on the bus at the time so the man tried to rob the bus driver. The incident was caught on camera. The bus driver suffered injuries to his face, but has now been released from the hospital.
