Ex-Longhorn arrested after fight with former roommate

An ex-Longhorn and current running back for the Cincinnati Bengals was arrested in Austin on Saturday night after an alleged fight with a former roommate.

Twenty-eight-year-old, Cedric Benson, was held in jail for seven hours after being charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

According to reports, the roommate contacted police around 5 a.m. when Benson allegedly approached him and stated that they needed to talk about living arrangements. Benson allegedly punched the man in the face multiple times. Benson was arrested forĀ  Class A misdemeanor charge which is punishable by up to one year in jail and a a $4,000 fine.
