Richland man receives four years in prison for 7th DUI

A man from Richland has just been sentenced to four years and three months in prison after he was convicted of his 7th DUI.

The 49-year-old man plead guilty to felony driving under the influence. This was his fourth DUI in the past four years plus two other DUIs prior to that.

The arrest for this charge was made on April 3 when police officers saw the man swerving across the lanes of traffic. The man then reached speeds of 90 mph on the roadway. The man’s blood alcohol level was at .18 when pulled over.  He was arrested and taken to jail. The man’s other DUIs occurred in Texas, Oregon, California and Washington.
