Dallas to see increase police enforcement during holiday season

The Dallas Police Department has teamed up with the Texas Department of Transportation and Mothers Against Drunk Driving in order to step up patrol on drunken driving during the holiday season this year.

The initiative begins this Wednesday and will run till Jan. 3. The initiative has one main goal: Keeping drunk drivers off of the roadway. More police officers will be on the road and for extended hours during this time.

The likelihood that a person will drive intoxicated during the holiday season increases because people attend parties where alcohol is most likely served.  Officials are hoping that the increased law enforcement will encourage people to designate a safe driver.

If you or a loved one has been charged with drink driving, contact the Dallas DWI lawyers of the Law Office of Mark T. Lassiter by calling 214-845-7007.
