Child sex abuse trial against Sandusky begins

The child sex abuse trial against former Penn State assistant coach, Jerry Sandusky, began Monday morning.

According to Delaware County News Network, Sandusky and his attorney arrived at the court on Monday morning and a 12 person jury is set to hear the opening statements.

This high-profile case also lead to the firing of Joe Paterno, a legendary coach for Penn State. Sandusky has been charged with 52 counts of child sex abuse for allegedly abusing 10 boys over a 15 year time period. The alleged victims are expected to testify.
