Dallas area faces ‘no refusal’ initiative during Fourth of July holiday

The Dallas area faced the ‘no refusal’ initiative during the Fourth of July holiday in order for police to crackdown on people getting behind the wheel after drinking.

The initiative began Tuesday at 6 p.m. and continued to Thursday at 6 a.m. During this initiative in Tarrant County, the first people to graduate from the Tarrant County Blood Draw School were working in order to help draw the blood of those who refuse to blow into the breathalyzer.

Officials in Tarrant County have stated that during the six years that they have offered ‘No Refusal’ weekends, their has been one fatal DWI-related crash.
