Dallas news anchor resigns, pleads no contest in DWI case

Jane McGarry, long-time Dallas news anchor, has recently pleaded no contest to a driving while intoxicated charge. Following this decision, she resigned from her job at the local NBC station.

The 56-year-old woman was arrested in May after she was pulled by Dallas police at 1:30 a.m. on the Dallas North Tollway for changing lanes without a signal. Once stopped, she allegedly failed the field sobriety test administered to her.

Later, it was found that McGarry’s blood alcohol concentration was .11.
