Chris Brown charged with misdemeanor after getting in a fight

Grammy award-winning R&B singer Chris Brown entered a not guilty plea on Monday, October 28 for misdemeanor assault charges in relation to his involvement in a fight outside a Washington hotel on Saturday, October 26. Thirty-five-year-old Chris Hollosy, Brown’s bodyguard was also arrested and released after also entering a not guilty plea.

According to Brown’s lawyer, Brown and his bodyguard did no crime and were merely protecting Brown “as he is authorized to do under District of Columbia law.”

According to the Metropolitan Police Department incident report, the altercation started when two women asked Brown to have their photograph taken with him outside the upscale W Hotel. Brown allegedly refused to consent to this when 20-year-old Beltsville, Maryland resident Parker Adams tried to join in the picture, with Brown allegedly saying, “I’m not down with that gay shit.”
