Man killed in Grand Prairie DWI crash

A 33-year-old man was killed as a result of drunk driving crash that occurred off of Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie.

According to officials, the accident occurred as the Arlington man was traveling westbound down the interstate when his vehicle began to drift off the side of the road and he struck a construction warning sign before hitting the back of a sport utility vehicle that was on the side of the road.

Police are currently still investigating the cause of the crash and determining whether or not alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to Dallas Medical Center after the accident where he was later pronounced dead.


Alleged drunk driver crashes into home

An alleged drunk driver crashed into a home in San Antonio over the weekend.

According to officials, the accident occurred Saturday just after 2 a.m. just near the intersection of 34th Street and Motes Drive. A homeowner was sleeping on the couch in the living room at the time and was thrown across the room as a result of the impact.

A woman tried to run from the scene of the crash but was later found by police. The man was transported to the hospital after suffering from three broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Investigators have said that he will be charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to stop.
