Man gets charged with assault for brandishing knife at woman

Fifty-two-year-old Ricky Armstrong is currently detained in the Dallas County Jail in Texas in lieu of a $50,500 bail after he was booked on Tuesday, November 8 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief in relation to charging at a woman with a knife.

According to preliminary investigations made by police officers, Armstrong walked near the victim’s car, which was parked at around 8:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of Bonnie View Road near Interstate 20 in east Oak Cliff, holding out a cup and begging the woman for alms.

Police said the woman claimed that Armstrong tried to follow her even when she told him to leave her alone, prompting her to grab a baseball bat from her vehicle and hit him. He then pulled a knife on her and tried to cut her and threw the knife at her but missed.

Deion Sanders cited for assault after ex-wife’s arrest

Deion Sanders, former NFL football players for the Dallas Cowboys, along with a third person were charged with assault after Sander’s estranged-wife, Pilar was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance call.

According to police, a domestic disturbance call was made on Monday afternoon after Deion stated that he was assaulted by Pilar and another 38-year-old woman.

Pilar was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault. She was taken into custody and was released the next day. Police then stated that after further investigation into the case, the Deion Sanders and the other woman were also charged with Class C Simple assault. The incident took place at Deion’s residence in Prosper, Texas.

Woman arrested after assaulting friend with macaroni grease

A woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting her friend by throwing macaroni grease and a frying pan full of green beans at her.

According to police, the incident occurred on Guadalupe Street when they received a domestic violence call that allegedly occurred when one woman assaulted another during a fight. A baby was also in the room when the attack occurred.

The 24-year-old woman has now been charged with third-degree assault and injury. The arrest affidavit stated that one woman told the other to give the baby his medication and the woman became furious about being told what to do and attacked the friend. The woman is still recovering from burns on her chest.

Dallas police arrest man accussed of assault

Dallas police have arrested a man that has been accused of assaulting four people with a barbell and a knife.

According to police officials, the man struck two other men with a 20-pound dumbbell and stab two other men with a knife. Then one of the victims fire a gunshot while and this caused the suspect to flee the scene.

The suspect was then arrested and taken into custody. Police continue to investigate in order to determine a cause of the incident. Current conditions of each victim have not been released.

Longhorn football player suspended after assault charge

A safety for the Texas Longhorns, Christian Scott, has been suspended after he was arrested and charged in an assault case.

Scott, who is from Dallas, was arrested on August 8 at 1 p.m. when police were called to East Yager Lane because of a dispute.

The head coach the the University of Texas Longhorns, Mack Brown, stated that Scott has been suspended from all football activities and after the legal process is complete they will decide what is best for the University and the player. Details on the assault charge have not been released.

Ex-Longhorn arrested after fight with former roommate

Twenty-eight-year-old, Cedric Benson, was held in jail for seven hours after being charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

According to reports, the roommate contacted police around 5 a.m. when Benson allegedly approached him and stated that they needed to talk about living arrangements. Benson allegedly punched the man in the face multiple times. Benson was arrested for  Class A misdemeanor charge which is punishable by up to one year in jail and a a $4,000 fine.

Man arrested for allegedly assaulting a bus driver

A man was arrested as a suspect in an assault case after a bus driver on a Capital Metro bus was beaten and robbed.

The 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery by assault, which is a first-degree felony. According to the court documents, the incident occurred on June 10 when the bus driver picked up the man on Techni Center Drive in East Austin.

There was no one else on the bus at the time so the man tried to rob the bus driver. The incident was caught on camera. The bus driver suffered injuries to his face, but has now been released from the hospital.

Three police officers injured by bullet fragments

One suspect has been arrested after an incident left three police officers  injured by bullet fragments.

The man is currently being held on three counts of aggravated assault against a public servant. The incident occurred as police were called to an apartment complex with a report that someone had been shot.

The suspect allegedly helped the man that was just shot into the apartment and then opened fire on the police officers after they announced that they were coming in. The officers were then struck by bullet fragments after they bounced off of the wall.
